LEGAL & PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Socrates Investments Academy LLC collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
We use information to operate the website and Discord community, respond to inquiries, manage memberships and access, schedule member appointments, provide bot features, improve our services, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Payment-card details are handled by LaunchPass and its payment providers and do not pass through our website.
Summary of Recent Changes
October 7, 2026: We added disclosures covering member appointment booking, Discord authentication for booking eligibility, staff Google Calendar connections and availability checks, booking emails, and the service providers that support those features.
September 28, 2026: We rewrote and reorganized this policy to make our current practices easier to understand. The update:
- Explains information collected through Fluent Forms, including contact-form submissions, consent records, and IP addresses.
- Identifies WordPress.com, Google Analytics, Jetpack, LaunchPass, Discord, and supporting infrastructure as relevant service providers.
- Clarifies that payment-card information is handled by LaunchPass and its payment providers and does not pass through our website.
- Expands disclosures about Socrates Investments GPT, Tactix, Ticket Wizard, Discord roles, leveling and rewards, moderation, tickets, transcripts, AI-enabled features, and community records.
- Clarifies data retention, privacy-request procedures, cookie and analytics practices, and how we will communicate future material changes.
- Removes references to newsletter subscriptions because we do not currently collect email addresses for a newsletter.
This summary is provided for convenience and does not replace the complete policy below.

Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation, UK GDPR, or similar law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: when you affirmatively agree to a particular use, such as submitting information through a consent-enabled form or allowing optional cookies.
- Contract: when processing is necessary to provide a membership, requested service, community access, or related support.
- Legitimate interests: when reasonably necessary to operate and improve our services, prevent abuse, secure the community, respond to users, maintain records, and protect our rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: when processing is required to comply with applicable law, legal process, accounting obligations, or valid governmental requests.
Service providers and disclosure
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information to providers and other recipients when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Website and form providers: WordPress.com and related hosting, security, form, and infrastructure services, including Fluent Forms.
- Analytics providers: Google Analytics and Jetpack, which help us understand website traffic, performance, and use.
- Membership and payment providers: LaunchPass and its payment-processing partners.
- Community platforms: Discord and providers supporting our Discord bots, databases, hosting, logging, automation, or AI-enabled features.
- Professional and legal recipients: accountants, legal advisers, insurers, auditors, or authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
- Business changes: a purchaser, successor, adviser, or other relevant party in connection with a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of some or all of our business, subject to appropriate protections.
Providers may process information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies. We seek to limit access to information reasonably needed to perform the applicable service.
Payments and LaunchPass
Membership purchases and related payment processing are handled outside our website through LaunchPass and its payment providers. Full payment-card information does not pass through or get stored on the Socrates Investments website.
Authorized Socrates Investments administrators can access certain customer, subscription, transaction, and membership information through the LaunchPass administrative panel. We use this information to administer purchases, verify membership status, provide Discord access, respond to billing or access questions, maintain business records, and address disputes.
Your use of LaunchPass and its payment providers is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies
Our website uses Google Analytics and Jetpack. These services may use cookies, pixels, identifiers, server logs, or similar technologies to collect information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, session activity, approximate location, device and browser information, referring sources, and IP-related information.
We use this information to understand traffic, monitor site performance, diagnose problems, protect the site, and improve content and user experience. Depending on your location, applicable law, and the configuration of these services, some analytics activity may be considered a disclosure or “sharing” of personal information.
You may be able to control optional cookies through available cookie controls and your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site functions. Additional details are provided in our Cookie Policy.
Discord bots and applications
We may operate Discord applications and bots including Socrates Investments GPT, Tactix, Ticket Wizard, and related community tools. These services support community access, automated roles, moderation, support, tickets, commands, leveling and rewards, AI-assisted features, and other server functionality.
Socrates Investments GPT
Socrates Investments GPT is primarily used for community access control and backup moderation support. It may check whether a member has an active paid role and automatically assign the appropriate Verified or Unverified role when a member joins or their access changes.
Tactix
Tactix supports community management, leveling and daily rewards, moderation, automated replies, AI chat features, commands, birthday tracking, and other community utilities. For AI chat or automated replies, Tactix may process content submitted in designated bot-enabled channels, commands, or interactions to provide the requested response or functionality.
Birthday information is voluntarily provided and used for birthday-related community features. Moderation functions may process user IDs, message references, staff actions, reasons, timestamps, and related server information.
Ticket Wizard and transcripts
Ticket Wizard creates and manages support tickets. When a ticket is opened, it may process Discord account information, ticket messages, staff replies, timestamps, ticket status, attachments, and related support details.
When a ticket closes, a transcript may be generated and sent to the ticket creator, made available to authorized staff through a restricted logging channel or link, and stored on infrastructure controlled by authorized Socrates Investments personnel or service providers. Transcripts are used for support history, moderation review, dispute resolution, staff accountability, and community safety.
Discord storage and use
Discord-related data is used for community management, access control, support, moderation, security, automation, rewards, and requested bot functionality. We do not sell Discord user data or use it for unrelated advertising profiles.
Some data may be stored outside Discord when necessary to operate bot features. This can include ticket transcripts, moderation logs, birthdays, command logs, configuration information, access-control records, role information, and reward or leveling data.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining membership and transaction records, responding to support requests, operating bots, preserving moderation and security records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations.
Website form entries and associated IP addresses may be retained to respond to inquiries, document consent, detect abuse or spam, maintain support history, and protect the website. Discord moderation, ticket, or safety records may be retained when reasonably necessary for community safety, accountability, or dispute resolution.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage system or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request:
- Access to or confirmation of personal information we hold about you.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of information, subject to lawful exceptions.
- Restriction of or objection to certain processing.
- A portable copy of certain information.
- Withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.
- Information about categories, purposes, sources, and recipients of personal information.
- Opt-out rights that apply to certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities.
- Freedom from unlawful discrimination for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. If analytics or cookie activity is considered “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising under an applicable law, you may exercise available controls or submit a request through our Contact page.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We may retain or decline to delete information where permitted or required by law, including records needed for security, moderation, fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or legal compliance. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits.
Children and international users
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you access our services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards or lawful transfer mechanisms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. Every published revision will display a new effective date, and we will maintain a brief summary of recent substantive changes on this page.
For material changes, we will use one or more methods reasonably calculated to bring the update to affected users’ attention. Depending on the nature of the change and the information available to us, this may include a prominent website banner or notice, an announcement in the Socrates Investments Discord server, a notice within a relevant service or bot, or direct communication to affected users when required by law or reasonably practicable.
Where applicable law requires advance notice, renewed consent, or a notice at the point of collection before information is used for a materially different purpose, we will provide the required notice or obtain the required consent before that new processing begins. Minor editorial, formatting, or clarification changes may be posted without a separate announcement.
Appointment booking
Eligible members may use our website to schedule one-on-one appointments with available Socrates Investments providers. When you use the booking system, we may process your Discord user ID, username and display name; the email address associated with your membership; the selected provider, date and time; an optional discussion topic you provide; and the appointment’s confirmation, cancellation, or rescheduling status.
We use this information to verify booking eligibility, create and manage appointments, enforce membership booking limits, prevent duplicate or abusive reservations, send booking communications, provide support, and maintain appropriate business and service records.
Booking records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for appointment administration, support, security, dispute resolution, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. We may delete or anonymize records when they are no longer required.
Discord authentication for booking
The booking system uses Discord OAuth to sign you in and determine whether your Discord account has the server membership or roles required to book a session. In this process, we may receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, server membership status, and relevant role information.
We do not receive your Discord password. Your use of Discord is also governed by Discord’s terms and privacy policy. Disconnecting or leaving the Socrates Investments Discord server may affect your ability to use member-only booking features.
Google Calendar integration
Authorized staff providers may connect a Google account to the booking system. The integration may retrieve calendar names and identifiers, check selected calendars for free and busy time ranges, create appointment events on the provider’s chosen calendar, and update or delete those events when an appointment is changed or cancelled. OAuth credentials needed to maintain the connection may be stored securely by our website.
For calendars selected only to block availability, the system uses busy time ranges and does not retrieve event names or descriptions. Members are not automatically added to staff calendar events as guests. A provider may revoke access through their Google account or disconnect the integration from WordPress.
Google processes information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
Booking emails
We may send booking confirmations, cancellations, rescheduling notices, reminders, administrative notifications, and support-related messages. These emails may include the provider’s name, appointment date and time, Discord username, membership email address, optional discussion topic, and information needed to review or manage the appointment.
Booking emails are transactional service communications rather than marketing messages. Delivery is handled through our configured mail provider and related WordPress mail-delivery software.
Booking service providers
The booking system relies on third-party services that process limited information needed to provide the feature. These may include WordPress.com for website hosting and administration; Discord for authentication, server membership, and role verification; Google for Calendar connectivity; Proton Mail and WordPress mail-delivery software for transactional email; Jetpack or WP Stats for website analytics; and CookieYes for cookie and consent controls.
These providers process information under their own terms, privacy policies, and our applicable configurations. We seek to share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service.
